The Russian brand Senat showed a five-seat version of the 900 sedan

The Russian brand Senat has brought to the XIV International Eurasian Taxi Forum a new sedan Senat 900 in a five—seat version with a solid sofa in the second row. Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of Za Rulem magazine, told about this in his Telegram channel on August 6.

As the expert explained, the five-seat Senat 900 can be used, for example, for premium transportation services. At the moment, only a few cars have been handed over to customers, since the actual sales started recently. The emphasis is on corporate sales, Kadakov noted. Previously, the model was shown only in a four-seat version.

The presentation of the new Senat brand took place in June at the SPIEF. Within the framework of the forum, the production of cars was launched at the former Toyota automobile plant in Shushary, St. Petersburg. The Senat 900 is the first model of the new brand, it is based on the Chinese Hongqi H9 model and is not related to the products of the Russian Aurus.

The length of the car is 5.14 m. It is equipped with a three-liter V6 engine with a mechanical supercharger, which is combined with an 8-speed hydromechanical automatic and an all-wheel drive transmission. The engine power is 326 hp (340 Nm), acceleration from zero to "hundred" takes 6.5 seconds. In the basic version, the Senate 900 is a five-seater, its price will be 12 million rubles. The four-person VIP version will cost 12.5 million rubles. A prototype of an even longer Senat 1000 model was also presented at the forum.

The production of Senat brand cars will amount to several thousand units in 2026, and tens of thousands of cars are planned to be produced starting in 2027. This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov.
