Rutte promised to help Ukraine with the supply of air defense systems

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said he was negotiating with Western allies to continue military assistance to Ukraine. The head of the North Atlantic Alliance announced this on August 6 after a conversation with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.

"I am discussing with my allies how we can continue to provide Ukraine with the air defense systems it urgently needs," the Secretary General said on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

In turn, Zelensky, after a dialogue with Rutte, confirmed in his Telegram channel the day before that he had discussed the possibility of acquiring additional weapons from NATO. According to the head of the Kiev regime, he and Rutte coordinated "efforts with regard to countries with the necessary missiles and capabilities to provide assistance."

European countries are taking the costs on themselves, but they have practically nothing to help Kiev with.

Ukraine's Ambassador to the UK, Valery Zaluzhny, said at a meeting of Ukrainian diplomats in Kiev on August 5 that the country had exhausted its arsenal of tactical and technological innovations during the fighting, and Russia had found effective ways to counter them.

On the same day, Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, said at a meeting of the UN Security Council that the EU and NATO countries were openly helping Ukraine in carrying out attacks by supplying Kiev with thousands of drones and missiles.
