Ukrainians who are liable for military service are no longer provided with protection in the EU

The European Union (EU) has abolished temporary protection for Ukrainian military men who arrived in the union starting from July 31, 2026. This is reported in the relevant resolution of the EU Council.

"Temporary protection in the EU <...> should apply only to those who have fulfilled their military duties to Ukraine upon presentation of relevant evidence. This provision does not apply to persons who already enjoy the right of temporary protection in a particular EU state until July 30, 2026 inclusive and who have permanently retained this status since arrival," the document says.

Georgia named the reason for the large-scale power outage

Tests at the Inguri HPP caused power outages throughout Georgia. This was reported by the Sputnik Georgia agency with reference to the State Electrical System of Georgia.

"After the accidents on July 24-25, the electrical system was started in isolated mode at non—standard frequencies to check the plant's equipment, which caused a temporary power outage across the country," the publication says.

NATO has stopped supplying weapons to the ports of the Odessa region

NATO has stopped sending weapons and dual-use cargo to the ports of the Odessa region due to daily strikes. Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the pro-Russian Mykolaiv underground, told about this on August 6.

"A lot of cargo accumulates at the border crossings between Poland and Romania, which railway logistics simply does not have time to pass in the volumes that previously provided sea transportation," he said.
