Sobyanin named the main construction projects in Moscow this year

A number of large transport, social and cultural facilities have been commissioned in Moscow since the beginning of 2026, and several more significant construction projects are planned to be completed by the end of the year. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in his channel in the Maks messenger.

Among the projects already implemented, the mayor named the renovated Leningradsky Railway Station, the first section of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line, the section of the Southern Rockade from Kaspiyskaya Street to 1st Kotlyakovsky Lane, the new complex of the Moscow City Oncological Hospital No. 62 in Skolkovo, the new building of the Moscow State Vasily Nesterenko Art Gallery, the Pechatniki cultural and Sports center and the Cosmos Arena football stadium.

According to the renovation program, 734 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned in the capital in seven months of 2026, which is a record figure since the program was launched in 2017.

By the end of the year, Moscow plans to complete the reconstruction of the Central Moscow Hippodrome, open the final section of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter along Kaspiyskaya Street, a connecting road between the Moscow Ring Road and Akademika Koroleva Street with a new overpass through the tracks of the MCD-3, as well as the Torpedo Stadium named after Eduard Streltsov.
