Two-time European champion in bench shooting Rudolf Polyansky died at the age of 90
Rudolf Polyansky, a two-time winner of the European Shooting Championship in the USSR national team, died at the age of 91. This was announced on August 5 by the press service of the Russian Rifle Union.
"Rudolf Petrovich devoted his life to bench shooting and made a significant contribution to the development of this sport in our country," reads a message on the VKontakte social network.
Polyansky died on August 4 in Moscow. The cause of death of the athlete is not specified.
Rudolf Polyansky was born on September 5, 1935. The athlete twice became the winner of the European Championship in team competitions — in 1965 and 1967. He also won a bronze medal at the European Championship in the individual tournament in 1968. In 1966, the athlete won the USSR championship in the individual competition.
