Luzhniki Stadium will host the Liga Sport festival. Fest" on August 8th

On August 8, the All-Russian physical culture festival "Liga Sport. Fest", which will include the track and field "Race 2030" and the La Strada cycling race. The organizers are the League of Heroes with the support of the Moscow City Sports Department.

"This summer, the League of Heroes team is ready to surprise again: we are doing something that has never been done in the capital before. On August 8, we will hold the first night half marathon "Race 2030" in Moscow. In parallel, there will be 1, 5 and 10 km races throughout the day, as well as a cycling race and the La Strada Cycling Festival. I am very glad that our project opens a new page in the sports life of the city. Luzhniki Stadium and the embankments of the capital will unite thousands of runners and cyclists. It will be dynamic and very atmospheric!", commented Ksenia Shoigu, head of the League of Heroes project.

The Luzhniki Olympic Complex will become the center of a large-scale sports festival for the whole day. One of the key events is the unique "Race 2030". This is the first night half marathon in Moscow. The main distances of 10 and 21.1 km start after sunset. Runners will be able to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the night capital and the strong support of fans along the entire route. In addition to the usual clusters, bright and dynamic DJ RUN clusters for 10 km and 21.1 km are available. The organizers have added music and drive directly to the track — the participants will run together with a DJ, a huge speaker and their favorite songs the entire distance at a pace of 5:50. Places in the DJ RUN cluster are limited.

The race route starts at the Luzhniki complex, runs along the Luzhnetskaya Embankment along the Moskva River through Gorky Park and the Crimean Bridge. The participants of the half marathon then run along Prechistenskaya and Kremlevskaya embankments, past the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Moscow Kremlin, Zaryadye Park and Kotelnicheskaya High-rise, after which they return the same route to the finish line on Vorobyovy Gory.

The League of Heroes team also prepared four distances for runners with different levels of training. The program of the event is divided into morning and evening blocks.:

● 08:00 — Start for a distance of 5 km.

● 09:00 — 1 km start for participants over 6 years old.

● 20:30 — Start of the 21.1 km half marathon.

● 20:45 — Start of the 10 km race.

Cycling enthusiasts will enjoy a series of La Strada races. Participants will be able to choose one of three cycling distances — 17K, 40K, 70K, or take part in a cycling festival.

La Strada 17K distance is for those who prefer a short route. Cyclists over the age of 18 will be able to participate on one of three types of bicycles: road, grevel or MTB.

The 40K and 70K races will start and finish at the Luzhniki Olympic Complex. The routes will run in several circles and will be accessible to participants over the age of 18.

La Strada 17K Fest is a cycling festival for everyone. If you want to take a quiet ride through the main streets of the capital with your family or friends and become part of a large-scale celebration without competition and breakneck speed, then this option is ideal. Absolutely any type of bike is suitable for participation. Cycling enthusiasts over 6 years old are allowed. Participants will drive along Nizhni Mnevniki Street, then follow Zvenigorodskoye Highway and Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment along the Moskva River. The finish line of the cycling festival is located on Novodevichy Embankment.

Traditionally, the Media Championship will be held as part of the festival. Representatives of leading Russian TV channels, news agencies, print and online publications will be back at the launch.
