Sobyanin spoke about the introduction of AI in industry

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin called the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone the main platform for the introduction of artificial intelligence in the capital's industrial enterprises. The head of the capital spoke about what digital and AI technologies are used there in his blog on the Maks messenger.

The introduction of artificial intelligence in factories is a key condition for competitiveness, the mayor of Moscow believes. "By automating routine, increasing the safety and accuracy of production processes, Moscow is step by step shaping a new generation of industry — high-tech, independent and efficient," Sobyanin wrote on his blog.

Technopolis Moscow employs more than 240 high-tech companies, which have created over 33,000 jobs. Smart algorithms and digital services help to create innovative products there, automate internal processes and improve production safety, the mayor noted.

For example, the pharmaceutical company R-Pharm, which has localized production in Technopolis Moscow, uses artificial intelligence to develop drugs for Alzheimer's disease. The algorithm goes through thousands of virtual molecules and constructs those that can overcome the natural protective barrier of the brain. This saves scientists thousands of hours of laboratory work, so the drug will appear several years earlier.

Some of the capital's enterprises create AI solutions on their own, Sobyanin said. For example, a subsidiary of the Moskabelmet Group has developed the APS INFIMUM planning system, which distributes the loading of production machines. It is capable of simultaneously monitoring up to 80 production lines and up to 50,000 technological operations with a planning horizon of 90 days.

At the same time, the city is replicating the achievements of the Moscow industry to the regions, said the head of the capital. Proven digital tools are collected in the Technology Bank, a registry of domestic software and equipment that has been operating since 2020.
