Moskvich announced a 34% increase in sales of M-Series cars%
The Moscow Automobile Plant Moskvich noted the positive dynamics of sales of new M-series cars. In July, the number of registered Moskvich M70 and Moskvich M90 crossovers increased by 34% compared to June. This is stated in the company's message, which was received by Izvestia on August 5.
"Regular deliveries of M-series cars to the dealer network began in the last days of May. The increase in the number of registrations following the results of the first two full months of sales reflects a consistent increase in customer interest in the new line and the expansion of its presence in the Russian market," Moskvich said.
The Moscow automobile Plant launched sales of two new crossovers from the M-line — the five—seat M70 and the seven-seat M90 - on March 6. The first one costs from 3.1 million rubles and is offered in two trim levels with 150 and 200 hp engines and front-wheel drive. The second one costs from 4.2 million rubles and is equipped with a two—liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 200 hp and an all-wheel drive system. Both models are based on MG brand crossovers.
As previously reported on this day, by the end of July this year, 122.1 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 1.2% more than in the same month of 2025. The July result was the highest since the beginning of 2026. Prior to that, April was the best month in terms of sales (117.5 thousand units).
