Sales of new light commercial vehicles in Russia fell by 22% in July
In July 2026, 6007 new light commercial vehicles (LCVs) were sold in Russia. This is 21.5% less than in the same month last year, but 11.1% more than in June this year. This was reported on August 5 by the analytical agency Autostat.
About half (46%) of the total LCV sales in the middle of summer came from the GAZ brand — 2,749 units (-21.2% compared to July last year). Lada is in second place (985 units; -39.5%), and UAZ is in third (695 units; -17.2%). The top five were rounded out by the Russian brand Sollers (600 units; -5.5%) and the Chinese brand Foton (242 units; +22.8%).
Gazelle Next is still the leader among the models, which sold 1,048 cars in the middle of summer (-37.8%). This is followed by the Lada Largus VU van with the result (677 units; -39.7%), GAZ 3302 (474 units; -29.9%), Gazelle NN (423 units; an increase of 2.4 times) and UAZ 3909 (386 units; +6.9%).
In just seven months of this year, 37.7 thousand new light commercial vehicles were sold in Russia, which is 19.8% less than in January — July 2025.
As previously reported on this day, by the end of July this year, 122.1 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 1.2% more than in the same month of 2025. The July result was the highest since the beginning of 2026. Prior to that, April was the best month in terms of sales (117.5 thousand units).
