The delegation of Qatar is invited to participate in the WEF-2026 and the Falcon Day Forum

Adviser to the President of Russia Anton Kobyakov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Russian Federation Ahmed Nasser Al-Thani. The parties discussed the participation of the Arab delegation in the Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held on September 1-4 in Vladivostok, as well as in the IV International Forum "Falcon Day". The WEF is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.

"Relations between Russia and Qatar continue to develop dynamically, which corresponds to the long-term interests of the two countries. The dialogue is based on long-standing traditions of friendship and mutual respect, as well as on the principles of justice, equality and mutual consideration of interests. We will continue to develop multi-vector cooperation, including on international dialogue platforms that are organized in Russia. This will serve as an additional impetus not only for the expansion of economic cooperation, but also for the comprehensive development of cultural and humanitarian ties," emphasized Anton Kobyakov.

The meeting reviewed the participation of Qatar's representatives in the events of the Falcon Day Forum, which will be held on September 1, the opening day of the WEF. Special attention was paid to the work of the pavilion "House of the Falcon", which will be opened as part of the exhibition "Street of the Far East".

It was noted that Qatar is actively involved in international efforts to conserve rare falconry species and is a member country of the framework declaration of intent on the conservation of the gyrfalcon population, signed earlier within the framework of the Falcon Day forum.

"We are making great efforts to preserve this bird species, including in cooperation with Russia. Qatar is interested in developing falconry centers, bustard breeding, and discussing the possibility of opening centers in the Republic of Kalmykia and the Astrakhan Region. I am convinced that together we will be able to achieve high productivity in our work," said Ahmed Nasser Al-Thani.

In addition, the parties discussed the development of cooperation between the two countries in the fuel and energy sector. The delegation of Qatar is also invited to participate in the Russian Energy Week, which will be held on October 14-16 in Moscow.
