Moscow has sent more than 100,000 volunteers to the special military operation zone. This was announced on August 5 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in an interview with TASS CEO Andrei Kondrashov.

"Moscow has sent more than 100,000 volunteers to the area of its military. In addition, we actively help with material and technical equipment. Moscow is the largest center of the military-industrial defense complex, and the best technical and military equipment is being produced," Sobyanin said.

According to him, Moscow produces a whole range of medical equipment, pharmaceutical products and microelectronics, without which it is impossible to conduct any military operations. He added that millions of citizens, in addition to support from the authorities, send humanitarian aid to the fighters.

There is a network of hospitals in Moscow that provide assistance not only to Muscovites, but also to everyone sent by the Ministry of Defense, we are talking about thousands of treated soldiers. The capital also has the largest rehabilitation center for those in need of additional treatment. Sobyanin stressed that Moscow is a leader in this area and provides assistance to all who need it.

On June 12, Putin announced that the grouping of the Russian Armed Forces in the area of the special military operation (SVO) exceeds 700 thousand people. The Head of State noted that when employing special operation veterans, it is not enough to offer jobs only in military enlistment offices, since there are many other areas in the system of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The Russian leader cited his communication with military personnel as an example and said that many of them want to come up with "something more interesting."
