Construction of a bicycle trail has been completed on Russian Island in Vladivostok

In Vladivostok, on Russian Island, the construction of a new 6.5 km long bike trail has been completed. The Ministry of Tourism of Primorsky Krai announced this on Tuesday, August 4.

The new bike trail, which, as promised by the Ministry of Tourism, will become a place of attraction for all cyclists in the country, was laid from the memorial sign "Kilometer Zero of the bike roads of Russia" at Cape Akhlestysheva, along Universitetskiy Prospekt and before turning to the village of Crew. The length of the site was 6.5 km.

Moving along the route, you can see Cape Tobizina, the "Grand Ducal Battery" and stone towers. Cozy recreation areas and pavilions have been set up on the trail, where you can buy snacks. Bike rental will also be available for those who wish.

The Russian velotrope was built as part of the federal project "Trails of the Far East". The Octopus Trail in Nakhodka is also being built according to it, PrimaMedia news agency clarifies.

"Today we saw that all the work has been completed, the facility is ready for the grand opening. This is definitely a social project that allows residents to lead a healthy lifestyle. It is also the development of domestic tourism," commented project manager Khaid Mantaev.

The Trails of the Far East project was launched in 2024. It provides for the creation of a unified network of ecological and tourist routes in nine Far Eastern regions. The octopus Trail in Nakhodka will open in a week and connect Lake Ritsa, Otrada and Zolotari beaches.
