Sergunina announced the holding of the Tastes of Russia festival at VDNH

The fifth Flavors of Russia gastronomic festival will be held at VDNH from August 13 to 23. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of the capital Natalia Sergunina.

"Visitors will get acquainted with a variety of dishes from different nations and farm products from all over the country, and will also take part in culinary master classes," Sergunina said.

According to her, the fair will bring together manufacturers from more than 75 regions, who will present over 5,000 items. In particular, visitors will be able to purchase Vologda butter, Kolomna rolls, Vyborg pretzels, Tula gingerbread, Adyghe cheese, Baikal tar and much more.

The food court will serve dishes from the country's regions. The cuisine of the Urals and the Volga region will be represented by Udmurt perepechi, Mordovian millet porridge shongariam and Bashkir beshbarmak, as well as tabani with zyret milk sauce and ovton lapat cutlet.

The Far East will delight with Kamchatka scallops and Magadan sockeye salmon pie, while Crimea will delight with stingray wings and grilled horse mackerel. From Central Russia, the menu will include potatoes with Tambov ham, Smolensk snails in spicy sauce and Kostroma burger with Kologriv goose.

Guests of the festival will also be able to join cooking classes. The program will be published on the official website of the event.

The festival, which is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Moscow government, has become part of the Summer in Moscow project, a key cultural event of the season. The main theme of this year is "Time to be together", and the purpose of all events is to unite and bring together the residents of the capital.
