According to her, insomnia is considered as a potential risk factor due to changes in the functioning of the nervous, hormonal and immune systems, as well as due to chronic inflammation.

Larina added that lack of sleep is often accompanied by a sedentary lifestyle, bad habits, poor nutrition and weight gain, which can also increase the risk of diseases. To reduce it, she recommended quitting smoking, maintaining a normal body weight and following the rules of safe exposure to the sun, the website writes. kp.ru .

In May, it was reported that Chinese scientists had developed a method that reversed memory impairments and inflammatory processes in the brains of mice suffering from prolonged sleep deprivation. It is based on the delivery of a protective protein directly to brain cells using modified nanoparticles.
