A check has been organized in the Nogliki district of the Sakhalin Region on the discovery of a man's body in a river. This is reported by the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The body of a 53-year-old local resident was found in the Dagi River. Investigators have not revealed any signs of violent death, the Investigative Committee clarifies.

A check has been organized on the death of a person. A forensic medical examination has been appointed to determine the exact cause of death, SakhalinMedia news agency writes.

Based on the results of the inspection, a decision will be made to institute a criminal case.

On the evening of August 2, a 49-year-old woman drowned while swimming in Peter the Great Bay in Primorsky Krai. The body of the deceased was pulled out of the water by eyewitnesses.
