Since the beginning of 2026, more than 2.7 thousand fires have been registered in the Pskov region. 46 people died in the fire.

According to the Pskov news feed, the material damage from the fires exceeded 23.4 million rubles. As a result of the fires, 338 buildings and 20 vehicles were destroyed.

During the fires, 345 people were saved, as well as material assets worth over 117 million rubles.

In most cases, the cause of gorenje was careless handling of fire. In addition, in 126 cases there was a violation of the rules for the installation and operation of the furnace, in 270 cases there was a violation of the rules for the installation of electrical equipment. Arson was registered in 38 cases.

One of the serious fires occurred on July 7 in the village of Golubovo. A house with three apartments caught fire. The fire destroyed the roof and living quarters. A woman born in 1938 and a man born in 1969 died as a result of the fire.
