Experts named best-selling cars in Russia in July
By the end of July 2026, Lada Granta retained the title of leader of the Russian car market. This is reported in the report of the analytical agency Autostat, which Izvestia reviewed on August 5.
Lada Granta family cars (including those produced on its basis) sold 11.1 thousand units. This is 15% less than a year ago. This is followed by the bestseller among foreign cars — the Chinese Haval Jolion crossover, which resulted in 7,202 cars sold (+29.7%). The third was the domestic Tenet T7 crossover, which sold 6,965 copies in mid-summer.
The Lada Vesta family took the fourth place with a result of 5,962 cars sold (-10.7%). The top five were rounded out by the newcomer to the market, the Russian Tenet T4L crossover (4051 units).
This was followed by the Lada Niva Travel SUV (3,491 units; +37.7%) and Lada Iskra with a score of 3,388 units. The eighth was the Mazda CX-5 crossover (2,916 units), which is not officially represented on the Russian market. He showed the best sales dynamics, an increase of 6.9 times. The Belgee X50+ (2,902 units) and Haval M6 (2,637 units) crossovers rounded out the top 10, with sales increasing by 14.5% in July.
As for the market dynamics for the first seven months of this year, the decline was recorded only for Lada Granta (-12.5%) and Lada Vesta (-32%). The rest of the models are growing, with the highest dynamics again noted in the Mazda CX-5 (10.5 times).
Experts have noticed that four of the ten models in the rating are new products that have been on the market for no more than a year (Tenet T7 and T4L, Lada Iskra and Belgee X50+).
As previously reported on this day, by the end of July this year, 122.1 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 1.2% more than in the same month of 2025. The July result was the highest since the beginning of 2026. Prior to that, April was the best month in terms of sales (117.5 thousand units).
