The defense announced Hasanov's desire to return to Russia.
Blogger Huseyn Hasanov wants to return to Russia. This was announced to Izvestia on August 4 by his lawyer Dmitry Kozyakin after the verdict of the Presnensky District Court of Moscow was announced.
"Of course, there is a desire," the lawyer said, answering the relevant question.
On the same day, the court sentenced Hasanov to four years in a penal colony in the case of money laundering. The court also seized non-residential premises in Presnensky district worth 46 million rubles from the blogger for state revenue and imposed a fine of 1 million rubles.
Prior to that, on July 31, the state prosecution had requested six years in prison for Hasanov. The court partially satisfied the claim, and the trial took place in absentia, since Hasanov has been outside Russia since February 2025. According to media reports, he may be in Azerbaijan or the UAE.
According to the prosecution, Hasanov evaded paying taxes in the amount of more than 170 million rubles, after which he legalized part of the funds by concluding a contract for the purchase and sale of real estate. The blogger did not admit his guilt. In his social networks, he claimed that he had paid off the tax arrears. He was put on the wanted list twice last year, in May and November. In April, Gasanov's realtor Vadim De accused the blogger of making threats after trying to terminate a real estate real estate deal.
