The Russian men's national volleyball team will not participate in the 2027 World Championship, which will be held in Poland, due to the lack of security guarantees for Russian athletes. This was announced on August 4 by the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VFB).

"As for the 2027 World Cup in Poland, it was decided to withdraw from participation for security reasons. We think that there will be critically little sports and a lot of politics at this tournament," said WWF President Stanislav Shevchenko.
