Sber's investments in Manzherok exceeded 200 billion rubles

Sber's investments in the Altai resort Manzherok accounted for half of all investments in the Altai Republic. This was announced by German Gref, President and Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank, at a meeting on tourism development held at the resort by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"Our investments in its development have already exceeded 200 billion rubles, which is half of all investments in the region," Gref said. According to him, the bank has invested another 20 billion rubles in the development of the republic, and the resort itself has provided 4,000 jobs.

The head of Sberbank noted that in five years the real GRP of the Altai Republic has grown by 27%. In the Siberian Federal District, the increase was 6% over the same period. The tourist flow to the republic has grown 2.3 times in five years, while the expenses of guests have increased sevenfold — from 1.2 billion to 8.4 billion rubles, according to the bank's analysts. In 2025, the region received 2.8 million tourists, more than 1 million of them visited Manzherok.

The resort's development plans include increasing the length of the ski slopes to 110 km by the winter season. In addition, new attractions will appear in the Dreamwood Adventure Park, and a promenade in the Bolshoy Altai concept will open around Lake Manzherok. In addition, the bank finances the reconstruction and improvement of schools, the Ochag orphanage and the children's neuropsychiatric hospital, supports children's sports and cultural programs, environmental and social initiatives, said the Savings Bank.

The modernization of Gorno-Altaysk airport, which joined the Sber Group in 2024, is also actively underway. In the first half of 2026, the airport received 260 thousand passengers, which is 15.8% more than in the same period of 2025. In 2028, the airport complex will be put into operation and the runway will be enlarged. The new four-storey terminal with an area of over 30 thousand square meters will be able to accommodate up to 1.1 thousand passengers per hour. It is expected that after 2030, the annual passenger traffic will exceed 1.3 million people.
