Almost 2 thousand household plots flooded in the Tyumen region

In the Tyumen region, 125 houses and more than 1,9 thousand land plots were flooded as a result of the summer flood. 53 people were evacuated from the danger zone.

According to the <url> news agency, 38 people have been sent to temporary accommodation facilities. The rest stayed with relatives.

Work is underway in the affected settlements to strengthen dams and earthworks. In Tyumen, the flood is already receding, but the water level continues to rise in the territories of the Tobolsk, Tyumen and Yarkovsky districts. In the Ture River near the village of Ievlevo, the water rose by 16 cm during the day.

The cause of the flood was heavy rainfall, which fell in June and July. An emergency regime has been in effect in Tyumen and the Tyumen Region since July 28.
