Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin met with participants of the XII All-Russian Youth Educational Forum "Territory of Meanings". He spoke about the role of the capital in the development of the country, support for the regions and key urban projects, according to the website mos.ru .

According to Sobyanin, the capital not only provides for itself, but also gives significant resources to equalize the economy and finances in the regions. "68% of all taxes and fees go to the federal budget from the territory of Moscow," stressed the mayor of the capital. He noted that these revenues cover 1.5 times all transfers from the federal budget to the subjects of the Russian Federation.

Sobyanin stressed that everything that is being done in Moscow is being done not only for the capital. "There is no need to build additional metro stations for Moscow, there are enough of them. There is no need to build interchanges, no need to build new railway tracks. This is precisely in order to comfortably ensure the passage of tens of millions of people from all over the country who pass through Moscow or come to Moscow," said the head of the capital. He named the Moscow Central Diameters as one of such projects. The second project is the construction of new metro stations and two ring lines.

In addition, Sobyanin noted that about 700,000 residents of the regions come to Moscow for medical care every year. Therefore, the creation of new standards for polyclinics and hospitals works not only for Muscovites, but also for the whole country, the mayor emphasized. Millions of medical studies are conducted in the capital every month, most of them for residents of the regions.

Sobyanin also mentioned the electronic educational services of the Moscow Electronic School, which resulted in one of the best electronic libraries in the world. "When we created it, we began to understand that it should be given to our colleagues in other regions. And by the end of this year, it will already be operating in 12 regions, which is almost a quarter of our country's schoolchildren," said the mayor of Moscow.
