Two people died from poisoning by toadstools in the Lipetsk region
Two deaths from poisoning by pale toadstools have been reported in the Lipetsk region. There are 14 people in the hospital in total.
According to the Department of acute poisoning at Lipetsk Emergency Medical Hospital No. 1, a 52-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman died. These are the first deaths from mushroom poisoning in the region since 2022.
There are 14 residents of Lipetsk, Dobroye, Khlevny and Borino in the hospital, GOROD48 writes. The condition of some patients is assessed as severe.
Experts note that the first signs of mushroom poisoning can appear six hours after eating them. Symptoms include nausea, abdominal pain, and dizziness. In such cases, you should immediately seek medical help.
In July, a case of botulism was reported in the Tula region. The victim was poisoned with canned homemade mushrooms.
