An eyewitness shared details about the shooting in a village near Sevastopol.

In a village near Sevastopol on the night of August 4, an armed man opened fire, which killed several people. Anastasia Ryazanova, an eyewitness, shared the details of the incident with Izvestia.

"I heard the first shots in my sleep. It's still so far away. We often have drone attacks there and mobile firing groups, but these were different, just single shots, like a pistol or a machine gun," Ryazanova said.

According to her, she first heard quieter shots, then machine gun bursts. When the shooting approached, she woke her husband, they locked the door and went down to the hallway. Later, the woman found out that the neighbor had disarmed the attacker. She heard the detainee crying and saying that he had "done a lot of things."

Ryazanova reported that she heard the first shots at 3:20 a.m. According to her, the attacker was at the fence for about 20 minutes. According to her assessment, the arrival of law enforcement officers took place later.

According to an eyewitness, the attacker fled through vegetable gardens and vineyards into the forest, where he was later caught. The village was cordoned off, an ambulance, riot police and the investigative committee were working on the spot. Ryazanova herself and her family went to the city. She also said that among the dead was a man who was killed at the first shots, as well as an elderly couple whom the attacker stabbed with a knife after a neighbor took away his weapon.

The shooting occurred on the night of August 4 in the village of Khmelnitsky near Sevastopol. According to Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, a soldier opened fire on his colleagues, as a result of which one soldier was killed and one was wounded, after which the shooter wounded three more and killed three civilians — men aged 71 and 59 and a woman aged 64. The attacker was arrested. According to the Ministry of Health, four victims were hospitalized, their condition is assessed as serious. Criminologists and investigators are working at the scene of the emergency.
