A private amphibious seaplane L-4 made an emergency landing on Lake Ilmen in the Novgorod region. This was announced on August 3 by a source of Izvestia.
The incident occurred near the village of Maloe Luchno. According to the source, there are no fatalities.
"Everyone is alive," the source said.
The people on board the plane are being examined by medics. As the Russian Emergencies Ministry told Izvestia, there were two people from St. Petersburg on board the aircraft, and they are fine.
On the same day, a plane with two people on board disappeared in the Irkutsk region. The governor of the region, Igor Kobzev, noted that there were two people on board the aircraft — an observer pilot and the aircraft commander. The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on the violation of traffic safety rules and the operation of air transport.
