Akzo Nobel, a major manufacturer of paint and varnish materials (the Russian division of the Dutch Akzo Nobel NV), has transferred 1 billion rubles to the Everything for Victory fund to finance assistance programs for its participants and their families. This was reported in the company's press service.

"The real responsibility of business is not in loud slogans, but in real assistance to those who are currently performing combat missions at the forefront," said Timur Amirov, Interim Managing Director of Akzo Nobel, CEO of RSA JSC.

The funds will be used, in particular, for the purchase of equipment, uniforms and protective equipment.

"We are grateful to the company for this decision. Such support allows not only to cover current needs, but also to develop systemic areas of assistance, and this is a good example for other enterprises operating in Russia," commented Sergey Gorbunov, Deputy head of the Executive Committee of the Popular Front.

This year, all Russian assets of the Dutch Akzo Nobel NV — shares of the subsidiary Akzo Nobel Decor, as well as shares in the companies Akzo Nobel Coatings and Akzo Nobel Paintwork — were transferred to the temporary management of JSC Development of Construction Assets (RSA). The company plans to restore and localize the production of the entire Akzo Nobel product line in Russia, as well as resume contracts with state-owned companies and the military-industrial complex, which were suspended in 2022 after the EU imposed anti-Russian sanctions.
