A resident of Kamchatka gave 1.8 million rubles to fraudsters

In the Kamchatka Territory, an 80-year-old woman became a victim of fraudsters. The damage amounted to 1.8 million rubles.

According to the victim, she received calls from strangers who introduced themselves as police officers. According to the instructions of the interlocutors, the woman handed over the cash to a courier near the Yelizovo school. This is reported by the KamchatkaMedia news agency.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact. It was established that calls to the pensioner were received from numbers registered in St. Petersburg.

In the Jewish Autonomous Region over the past week, five people were injured as a result of fraud. The total damage exceeded 2.3 million rubles.
