Boris Nadezhdin will not return to Russia in the near future

Politician Boris Nadezhdin (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) has no plans to return to Russia in the near future. His lawyer Dmitry Trunin told Izvestia about this on August 3.

Earlier that day, Nadezhdin posted a video message against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower, saying that he had left for France. The politician added that he would talk about his plans later, without specifying whether he would return to Russia.

"He has left and has no plans to return in the near future," Trunin explained.

The 17-year-old author of the stuffing admitted to Izvestia that no one in the opposition media had checked his inventions.

The Dolgoprudnensky City Court of the Moscow Region fined Nadezhdin 1,000 rubles for displaying extremist symbols. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Propaganda or public display of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols, or paraphernalia or symbols of extremist organizations)."

On July 10, the Russian Ministry of Justice included Nadezhdin in the register of foreign agents. According to the agency, the politician called on Russian citizens to participate in uncoordinated rallies, and also disseminated false information about the decisions of Russian authorities, their policies and the work of the electoral system.
