Galuzin said about the hybrid attack of the West on relations between Russia and Kazakhstan

Western countries are conducting a hybrid attack on Russian-Kazakh relations, but Moscow and Astana continue to confidently develop them. This was stated on August 3 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin at the plenary session of the III Russian-Kazakh Media Forum.

"Today, distinguished colleagues have already made statements that we are facing such a hybrid attack on our relations from Western and official circles, and the media, and the so—called think tanks," he said.

According to him, one of the elements of this unfriendly propaganda is the thesis that the sovereign development of the countries of the former USSR is possible only through liberation from dependence on Russia. Galuzin stressed that this toxic statement should be countered by the narrative that there is no place for one-sided dependence in relations between Russia and Kazakhstan.

He described the two countries' ties as a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance, as well as mutually enriching, mutually beneficial and constructively interdependent relations between two equal sovereign states. This, in his opinion, is the main factor in strengthening sovereignty and independence.

"Russian-Kazakh relations are steadily developing in the spirit of strengthening comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance in accordance with the decisions of the leaders of our states, President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev," the Deputy minister said.

Tokayev said on July 25 that relations between Moscow and Astana can be described by a Kazakh proverb, the equivalent of which in Russian is the expression "Where there is harmony, there is treasure." He also expressed confidence that thanks to strong ties of friendship and good neighborliness, mutual trust, support and consideration of each other's legitimate interests, both countries will be able to achieve new successes.
