Warm and sunny weather will remain in the capital in the first half of the week without significant precipitation, and short-term rains are expected in the second half. This was reported to Izvestia on August 3 by Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency.

At the beginning of the week, the region will be under the influence of an area of high atmospheric pressure. Cloudy weather is expected at night, with no precipitation, and the temperature in Moscow will be +15...+17 degrees, in the region — +13...+18 degrees.

On Monday afternoon, the air will warm up to about +25 degrees. On Tuesday and Wednesday, hot weather will set in the capital: the temperature will rise to +25...+27 degrees on Tuesday and up to +26...+28 degrees on Wednesday. In the region, the indicators will be in the range of +23...+28 degrees.

The wind will be light at the beginning of the week, but then it will change direction to the west and south-west, and also slightly increase, which will make the heat more comfortable.

"In the following days, the atmospheric pressure will drop slightly, we will be located between the synoptic formations in the area of the baric saddle," the forecaster noted.

No significant precipitation is expected at night, and short-term rains are possible in some places during the day. The night temperature will remain at +13...+18 degrees, the daytime temperature will be +24...+29 degrees.

This type of weather — with warm temperatures and short-term daytime rains of varying intensity — will continue until Saturday inclusive. The temperature background will be several degrees higher than the climatic norm.

On July 30, the Roscosmos state Corporation published images of the cyclone that hit the capital region this week. A powerful cloud front brought heavy rains, thunderstorms and hail to Moscow.
