An explosion at the Kabal police station in Pakistan's Swat district killed at least 14 people and injured 18 others. This was reported by the Dawn newspaper on August 2, citing the police.

"At least 14 people, including police officers, were killed and at least 18 others were injured," the publication says.

It is specified that the explosion occurred near the gates of the police station during a rally in the nearby Kabal Chowk Square, where hundreds of residents protested against the recent escalation of terrorism in the Swat Valley.

On August 1, Yahoo reported that an explosion occurred in a three-story apartment building in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, injuring about 20 people. After the explosion, windows were damaged in nearby buildings, including residential buildings and a secondary school.
