Crews of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) carried out complex air strikes, hitting control points for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and a temporary deployment point for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kharkiv region and the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on August 2 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"During the sorties, aircraft bombs FAB-500, FAB-250 and an LMUR X-39 guided missile were used. As a result of the strike, all targets were hit," the ministry said.
According to operational data, pinpoint strikes by tactical aviation were aimed at destroying the UAV control points of the 52nd separate motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian army in the village of Prudyanka and the 33rd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Senkovo, Kharkiv region.
In addition, the temporary deployment point of the 117th separate brigade of the enemy's territorial defense, located in the village of Raygorodok on the territory of the DPR, was hit by high-precision weapons.
Earlier that day, the Russian Armed Forces attacked the transport infrastructure involved in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the port of Mykolaiv and the Black Sea, as a result of which three bulk carriers and a marine tugboat were hit. The Ministry of Defense also reported that the tugboat had been converted by Ukrainian militants to use unmanned boats.
