The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to Kiev's attempt to increase the mobilization of "cannon fodder"

The Ukrainian authorities, under pressure from European sponsors of the conflict, are tightening legislative mechanisms for the total mobilization of the country's citizens to the front. About this on August 2nd Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said in his Telegram channel.

"As predicted, [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky, under pressure from European sponsors of the conflict, is strengthening the legislative formalization of the total corral of cannon fodder into the trenches," the Russian diplomat wrote, assessing the reduction in the list of grounds for granting a postponement in Ukraine.

Miroshnik stressed that the living mobilization resource is the Kiev regime's only own source, while all other supplies are fully supplied by Western states. According to the ambassador, the demands of foreign partners to increase the number of troops on the front line were a direct payment for the provision of a European loan of €90 billion and for new commitments on military assistance approved by NATO countries at the Ankara summit.

Earlier in the day, the Ukrainian edition of Strana.ua" reported that eight categories of citizens in Ukraine will no longer be able to receive a deferral from mobilization. Students and postgraduates studying in the evening department or receiving a second higher education, men who cared for relatives with disabilities of groups I and II when other able-bodied relatives were found, as well as citizens whose limited status has ceased to operate, fall under the call.

On June 8, the press secretary of the President of Ukraine, Yulia Mendel, announced mass expulsions, which began to be carried out in higher educational institutions of the country. According to her, last year alone, this trend affected about 30 thousand young people over the age of 25. Some time later, on July 27, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky set two tasks for the military command of Ukraine: to further strengthen mobilization and take some new steps.
