The training of specialists for the railway industry in Moscow is tailored to the needs of employers, and educational programs are developed jointly with relevant companies. This was announced on the Railway Worker's Day by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on his channel in Maks.

"Thanks to the industry's employees, the capital remains one of the most convenient and dynamic megacities in the world. Nowadays, on the railway, as in other areas, much depends on technology. Sophisticated equipment, smart management systems, and digital services require new competencies from employees. In Moscow, personnel training is conducted to meet the real needs of the market. Educational programs are being developed jointly with employers so that graduates can immediately solve the actual tasks of companies," wrote the mayor.

The flagship training platform is the center for "Professions of the Future" in Printers. The Moscow Transport training workshop operates here, where 11 laboratories are equipped and 47 professions can be mastered. Train simulators, tram and electric bus simulators, as well as an exact replica of the Pechatniki metro station with the Moscow-2024 carriage are used for training.

Adults can get a new profession or upgrade their qualifications in three months, while college students complete an internship. The center cooperates with Russian Railways, the Moscow Metro, Mosgortrans and the Traffic Management Center. Due to this, about 80% of graduates receive job offers during their studies.

The Moscow Transport College, which is more than 100 years old, also trains personnel for the transport industry. Currently, it has over 2.2 thousand students. In 2026, about 400 future railway workers completed internships at Russian Railways, more than 500 at the Moscow Metro, and over 300 more at the Central Suburban Passenger Company.

"Thank you to everyone who works in the industry for their high professionalism, conscientious work and great contribution to the development of Moscow! I wish you good health, prosperity and success!" concluded Sergei Sobyanin.
