UK opened a case after the collision of two trams in Ulan-Ude

As a result of the collision of two trams in Ulan-Ude, 10 passengers were injured, including two children. The driver of one of the wagons was also injured. This was reported on August 1 in the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers")," the department said.

It is specified that two adult victims were taken to the hospital, the rest received medical assistance on the spot.

Investigators call a possible malfunction of the automatic arrow translation system one of the possible causes of the incident. Specialists carry out the necessary procedural actions to establish all the circumstances of the collision.

The day before, two women born in 1956 and 1957 died as a result of a truck collision in the city of Noginsk. Tatiana Petrova, head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow Region, said that a criminal case had been opened against the truck driver under Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles that negligently caused the death of two or more persons").
