In Russia, it was proposed to introduce the so—called "maternal salary" - a monthly payment of 20 thousand rubles for each child aged three and over. This initiative was launched on August 2 by State Duma Deputy Dmitry Gusev (the Just Russia faction).

"We have state support for single people with many children, but the position of the Fair Russia party is simple and clear — every mother should receive a mother's salary. It is necessary to pay 20 thousand rubles for each child, starting from the age of three," the deputy said in an interview with TASS.

Gusev explained that women who raise two or more children often do not have the opportunity to go to work and earn money. As a result, the family finds itself in a situation where the father's salary becomes the only source of income.

The MP stressed that his party has repeatedly come up with similar initiatives and intends to continue to seek their legislative consolidation. Gusev is convinced that it is impossible to increase demographics without such solutions.

Gusev said on August 1 that all government services and services should be provided to large families for free. The MP noted that large families need additional support from the state.
