Trump has once again depicted Venezuela on the map as the 51st U.S. state.

On August 1, US President Donald Trump re-posted a photo showing the territory of Venezuela painted in the colors of the American flag.

"The 51st state," reads the caption to the image, which was posted on the American leader's page on the Truth Social network.

Only the northern part of South America is visible in the picture — the entire continent is shown in gray, and Venezuela is highlighted with the star-spangled flag.
