Baltika beat Dynamo Moscow in the RPL for the first time in history

The players of the Kaliningrad football club (FC) Baltika beat Dynamo Moscow in the home match of the second round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The match took place on August 1 and ended with a score of 2:1.

Nikolay Titkov (57th minute) and Brian Hill (74th, from the penalty spot) scored for the hosts. Artur Gomez scored a goal for Dynamo (76).

This victory was the first for Baltika over Dynamo Moscow in official matches. Kaliningrad had previously suffered nine defeats and drawn five times.

In the next round of the Russian Premier League, which will be held on August 8, Baltika will face Krylia Sovetov on the road, and on August 5 it will start in the group stage of the Russian Cup, where it will play Zenit. Dynamo will play away from Fakel Voronezh on the same day, and on August 9 they will host Dynamo Makhachkala in the championship.

The meeting between Rubin Kazan and Akron Togliatti on August 1 in the second round of the Russian Premier League ended with a score of 2:1. The game was similar at the Samara Arena Solidarity Stadium. The visitors opened the scoring in the 15th minute with Anderson Arroyo scoring. Four minutes later, Mirlind Daku increased the advantage of the Kazan team. Akron managed to win back one goal in the 29th minute.
