The Russian military spoke about the use of children by the Armed Forces of Ukraine as human shields

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) use civilians as cover when conducting military operations. This was announced on August 1 by the senior operator of the reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle Orlan-10 with the call sign Wanderer.

"This is their standard scheme — to hide and hide behind local residents, the population," the soldier said in an interview with TASS.

According to him, there were cases in the Donetsk People's Republic when there were children near the areas of military operations. He noted that Russian units are trying to avoid threats to civilians and help them leave dangerous territories.

The wanderer also said that in Kherson, Ukrainian units, according to him, place drone control points in residential buildings and use civilian facilities for drone operators.
