In the nine years since the launch of the Renovation Program in the capital, it has become a driver for the development of the construction industry and the country's economy, said Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

According to him, previously the construction of a house took about 2-2.5 years, now specialists are building reliable buildings much faster thanks to prefabs and large-scale construction.

"Six new buildings were built under the Renovation Program in less than a year," Sobyanin wrote on the Maks messenger.

He specified that domestic materials and equipment supplied by enterprises from more than 15 regions of the country are used in the construction of houses.

The mayor also noted that the Renovation Program has changed the approach to the formation of residential areas. Modern complexes with unique architecture, landscaped courtyards, barrier-free environment and social infrastructure are being built in place of old houses, Sobyanin said.

The renovation program has been fully completed in 12 districts of the capital. Among them are Ramenki, Severny, Molzhaninovsky, Kommunarka, Lianozovo, Novo-Peredelkino. More than 500 residential complexes have been put into operation. There are about 11 million square meters in the design and construction process. m housing. In 2026-2028, almost 240,000 people will move into new homes or begin to move.
