The State Duma predicted a possible end to the conflict in Ukraine in the near future
The situation in several areas in Ukraine indicates that the conflict is nearing an end. This was announced on July 31 by Alexey Chepa, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs.
"I want to say that the conflict is coming to an end," he said in an interview with the newspaper.Ru».
Chepa explained that this conclusion was made by him and his colleagues when analyzing the events on the front line, in the economic and domestic political situation in Ukraine. He also drew attention to the fact that the assumption is confirmed by the situation in Europe.
Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council's International Affairs Committee, said on the same day that ending the special military operation before the end of this year "would be the best option" for the development of events. According to him, this is possible only if Russia fulfills all its original goals.
The day before, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev clarified that the country was now at a key stage in completing its military operations, and Russian President Vladimir Putin added on July 26 that he did not doubt for a second that he would win.
