The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow has decided to arrest in absentia social activist Zhanna Nemtsova, daughter of politician Boris Nemtsov, in a criminal case related to the activities of a foreign organization deemed undesirable in Russia. This was announced on July 31 by the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.

"The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow has chosen a preventive measure against Nemtsova Zhanna Borisovna in the form of detention for a period of two months from the moment of her transfer to the law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation in case of extradition or deportation to the territory of the Russian Federation or from the moment of her actual detention on the territory of the Russian Federation," the department said in a statement to Maks.

Zhanna Nemtsova is accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 284.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation, organization or financing of activities of a foreign or international organization deemed undesirable in Russia").

On June 23, a criminal case against a Ukrainian citizen living in Novorossiysk, accused of espionage, financing terrorism and participating in the activities of a terrorist organization, was submitted to the court in the Krasnodar Territory.

According to investigators, between February 5 and June 10, 2024, the man made five transfers to the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for a total amount of 186 thousand rubles. In addition, in October of the same year, he transferred more than 279 thousand rubles to representatives of the Ukrainian military technology company.
