In Yakutia, a 51-year-old man who disappeared in the taiga in Khangalassky ulus on July 5 was found alive. Thus, his fate was not known for 25 days.
The search operation was carried out in two stages. For the first 10 days, rescuers simply examined the area, and active searches in the forest resumed on July 23, when an official statement was received from the missing man's wife.
The man was discovered by a local resident during haymaking about 80 km from the village of Nemyuguntsy, writes IA YakutiaMedia with reference to the rescue service.
It was established that the man arrived from Yakutsk on July 1 to work at a horse farm, which is located 70 km from the village of Nemyuguntsy. On the morning of July 5, the base staff discovered that he was gone. He hasn't been in touch since.
The man was hospitalized. Information about his health status is being clarified.
In mid-July, it was reported that a search operation to rescue an elderly fisherman who had been lost in the taiga for nine days had been successfully completed on Sakhalin. The pensioner was found by his neighbors, who joined the search a kilometer from the car he had left. After the victim was found, the Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated him through difficult terrain and handed him over to the paramedics.
