Blogger Lercek was questioned in court about her criminal case.
On Friday, the Gagarin Court in Moscow questioned blogger Lerchek (Valery Chekalin) as part of her criminal case on the withdrawal of more than 250 million rubles to the UAE using forged documents. This was announced on July 31 by a source of Izvestia.
"Valeria Chekalina was interrogated," the source said.
Earlier in the day, Lercek arrived at the court for a hearing on her criminal case. The prosecutor's office asked to send the blogger under house arrest. The reason for this was Lercek's trip to St. Petersburg.
Chekalina's case about the withdrawal of more than 250 million rubles to the UAE under forged documents is being considered behind closed doors, lawyers insisted on this, as information about her state of health will be announced at the meeting. Chekalina did not admit her guilt. At the same time, it became known that the court on Friday, July 31, plans to hold a debate on the Lercek case.
The criminal case against Lercek, accused of illegal currency transactions, was resumed on July 24. The first hearing by the decision of the Gagarin Court of Moscow was held on July 30. Lercek came to it with her beloved dancer Luis Squicciarini.
The criminal case against Chekalina was transferred to another judge on June 19. Prior to that, the prosecutor's office applied to the metropolitan court with a request to conduct a second forensic medical examination of Lerchek. The reason for the appeal was publications on social networks, where the blogger demonstrated active sports activities during the days of undergoing chemotherapy.
On March 16, the court released Chekalina from house arrest after confirming her cancer. On March 11, Chekalina began treatment at the state cancer Center. She was subsequently taken to the hospital to begin a course of chemotherapy. Squicciarini announced on March 8 that she had cancer cells.
