- The IDF announced the destruction of underground tunnels in the Beaufort area in southern Lebanon.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) blew up underground tunnels in the Beaufort Fortress area in southern Lebanon. This was announced by the IDF press service on July 31.
"The IDF has eliminated several key underground tunnels in the tunnel network under the Beaufort Ridge in southern Lebanon," the Telegram channel said.
It is specified that the underground network was used as the main command center of the Hezbollah movement, from where the militants and their commanders coordinated actions and controlled fire on the Israeli military and civilians. It is reported that this complex was an important strategic object of the movement and included several levels underground, the construction of which was carried out for about 20 years.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on July 27 that he would reject the US demand to withdraw the IDF from the Gaza Strip. At the same time, according to the Israeli Channel 13, the Israeli authorities approved the entry into the enclave of the International Stabilization Force, created on the initiative of American President Donald Trump.
