- Ho Chi Minh City Square in St. Petersburg is waiting for a large-scale landscaping
The next stage of landscaping near Ho Chi Minh City Square is coming to an end in St. Petersburg. On an area of 1000 sq. m. they tile the footpaths.
Next, it is planned to plant 131 coniferous plants, shrubs and 140 perennials. The location will also feature three themed stands with information about Ho Chi Minh and the symbols of Vietnam.
As noted by 78.ru The square was named in March 2025 in honor of Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnamese twin city of the Northern Capital. The union between the two cities has existed since 1977, and in 1978 one of the streets of Leningrad was named after the Vietnamese leader.
In 2023, a bronze monument to Ho Chi Minh was erected in the park. The 4.5 m high monument was created by Vietnamese sculptor Nguyen Van Vo together with his Russian colleagues Anatoly and Lada Chernov.
Earlier it was reported that in 2027 a public garden directed by Alexei Balabanov will appear in St. Petersburg. A public space will be opened on the 19th line of Vasilyevsky Island.
