A tourist was caught in Koltsovo with 17 kg of branded items in a suitcase

In Yekaterinburg, a woman was detained who tried to smuggle 17 kg of undeclared branded items in a suitcase. This was announced on Thursday, July 30, according to the press service of the Ural Customs Administration.

The passenger arrived from Turkey at Koltsovo airport. Customs officers found accessories, shoes and jewelry worth more than 4 million rubles from a 41-year-old tourist.

So, two suitcases contained a bracelet, earrings and necklaces from the brands Messika and Chanel, shoes, glasses, bags and purses from Gucci, Prada, Chanel, Balenciaga. Law enforcement officers also found a Swiss pocket watch Audemats Piguet x Swatch Royal Pop Lan.

According to the traveler, she brought things for herself and as a gift to friends. All the goods were seized for examination, writes the news agency " <url>".

An administrative case was opened against the woman under Part 1 of Article 16.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation "Non-declaration of goods". She faces a fine of up to twice the value of all items with their possible confiscation.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote that parts of dead animals and birds of rare species are increasingly being seized at customs. As a rule, such unusual contraband is later used in traditional and alternative medicine of some peoples, as well as in occult rituals.
