Sergunina told about the best routes of the "Show Moscow!" competition.

The winners of the "Show Moscow!" competition were awarded in the capital, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina. Certified guides and amateurs sent about 1,000 applications describing tourist routes around the city.

"26 people became laureates. In addition to the jury, the Muscovites themselves named their favorites. Polls in the Active Citizen project have gathered more than 1.3 million opinions," Sergunina said.

Experts recognized Olga Zotova's excursion, which introduces the history of the Lefortovo district, as one of the best works of professional guides. It combines examples of 20th-century Soviet architecture, the Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul in Soldatskaya Sloboda, and the ensemble of the Catherine Palace.

Among the fans, the jury awarded Evgenia Speranskaya. Her walk through the Basmanny district passes through the Arma business district, past the Razumovsky city estate, the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials and the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

The list of laureates also includes Victoria Markina with a route through the Kuryanova cinema locations, Lyubov Dementieva with a gastronomic trip through the Central Administrative District and Elizaveta Khrapova, who decided to tell about the sports attractions in the Luzhniki Olympic Complex and its surroundings.

"Active citizens" selected the winners in different administrative districts. The authors of the best excursions were awarded diplomas and memorable gifts. Their work will be published in the online edition of "Russpass-magazine".

For the first time, the "Show Moscow!" contest was held in 2020. Over the course of seven seasons, its participants have completed over 3,500 routes. The project brings together people of various professions and ages — the youngest finalist was eight years old.
