The Maks messenger is integrated into the 2026 admission campaign.
The Maks national messenger has been integrated into the 2026 admission campaign with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. This was reported on July 30 in the channel of the Ministry of Education and Science in Maks.
"The admission campaign is a crucial stage for thousands of applicants, and we see how digital tools are making it more transparent and comfortable. Integration with Max allows universities to establish seamless communication with students from day one," said Andrei Omelchuk, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education.
Upon enrollment, first-year students will receive a notification from Gosuslug with links to their university's official chat rooms at Max and will be able to use chatbots in a single digital space. Currently, more than 230,000 student chat rooms have been created at Max, with over 2.4 million participants. Universities have more than 5,000 official channels with a total audience of over 2.6 million people.
State Duma deputy Valery Seleznev (LDPR) announced on July 29 that from September 1 of this year, student families will be able to apply for separate rooms in dormitories. Seleznev recalled that, according to the law on youth policy, a student family is considered to be a young family where both spouses are students under the age of 35, inclusive, or the sole parent or adoptive parent of a child under 35 who is enrolled in a secondary vocational or higher education program.
