The company "Izhavia" will stop flights from August 1.

The Federal Air Transport Agency cancelled the operator's certificate from the Izhavia Airline, the document ceases to be valid on August 1, several sources told Izvestia. This decision was made following an inspection that took place from July 20 to 23 and was supposed to confirm the elimination of violations identified during a preventive visit by Rostransnadzor in the spring.

"The certificate has already been cancelled," said one of the interlocutors.

At the end of April, the regulator limited the validity of the operator's certificate until July 28, giving the airline three months to correct the deficiencies. The re-inspection showed that the key violations regarding the functioning of the flight safety management system had not been eliminated.

After the cancellation, Izhavia will lose the right to carry out commercial air transportation. The airline has already closed the sale of air tickets for all its flights starting on August 1. Other airlines will take over the transportation of airline passengers. They will also receive a full refund for their tickets.

Izhavia is a regular passenger carrier, which includes Izhevsk Airport. It flies to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kaliningrad and Makhachkala. By the end of 2025, Izhavia transported 683,036 passengers, which is 2% less than a year earlier. In the first half of 2026, passenger traffic decreased by 26.4% to 245.5 thousand people against 333.5 thousand in the same period last year. Passenger turnover decreased by 28.7%. In June alone, the carrier handled 46.16 thousand passengers, which is 34.2% less than a year earlier.

In March, the agency also limited the validity of the Azur Air certificate after an unscheduled inspection. It was recommended that the carrier improve its safety level as soon as possible and conduct an internal airworthiness check. Later, on June 2, the restrictions were lifted. To do this, the airline, on the recommendation of the federal agency, conducted an internal audit of the divisions and took corrective measures.
